Megga Laughs at The Foundry

September 10, 2016 @ 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Just a WEEK before MeggaXP 2016, the fine folks at The Foundry and Meggaxp are proud to present:Megga Laughs – A Night of True Comedy!

It’s been a LOOOONG time since the fine city of Jackson, Michigan has had a night of TRUE comedy. Sure, there are comedy nights every once in a while, but not like this! Usually the comedy nights are 5 minute sets that aspiring comedians use for practice….not at Megga Laughs!

Megga Laughs brings you 4 experienced, professional comedians and their polished routines! No 5 minute sets, either! Here’s the rundown of who will be on stage:

Alan Black – was born in Garden City and now lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Never afraid to be his own punchline, Alan’s likable and uncompromisingly honest take on life has been seen at LaughFest in Grand Rapids, 50 First Jokes at the Ark in Ann Arbor, and at clubs all over the state. In 2010, Alan won the World Dreidel Championship and has been chasing similar glory ever since.

Amy Probst -is a Second City graduate who considers the audience family she doesn’t have to help move. Her comedy celebrates large-bellied men, growing up with a born-again Christian mother and atheist encyclopedia salesman father, and nurturing wasted potential. Amy has appeared on Under The Radar Michigan, climbed the Ambassador Bridge, and is a favorite on podcasts, stages, and barstools everywhere.

Alex Price -At six feet, eight inches, Alex Price was always going to be the center of attention anyway. He developed an outsized sense of humor to match his physical stature and quickly became known in comedy circles far away from his native Angola, Indiana. His unflinching, self-deprecating and hilarious take on life as an actual giant form the basis of an act that’s garnered him opening spots for Kyle Kinane, Brian Posehn, Dave Landau, and Stewart Huff. It’s a perspective you’ve likely never considered, but that you’re sure to never forget.

Jason Carlen – one of Lansing’s top rated comics comes down to headline The Foundry and Meggaxp‘s debut comedy show! Jason has done shows all over the state of Michigan, Ohio, and even Chicago! Come down and show him how Jackson supports the comedians who visit our city!

This is an 18 and up show only, and there is a $5 cover charge! Five bucks for an evening filled with friends, laughs, and good times? Yes, please!

Come on out, support The Foundry, MeggaXP 2016, and most of all, THE COMICS!!! These guys work hard to make us all laugh, and we LOVE THEM FOR DOING SO!
